The World Surfing Circuit, Quiksilver Pro 2016, Snapper Rocks Gold Coast

The Quiksilver Pro is a popular surfing event held on the Gold Coast each year at Snapper Rocks Coolangatta.

This event includes a series of programs with a number of top Australian surfers heading to this unique event to compete and win the title.

The World Surfing Circuit released on Tuesday, 1st of March 21016, the categories of the first stage of the championship this year, which will be held in Gold Coast, between 10 and 21 March.  Last year, the Brazilian Filipe Toledo won the stage and started the year off right.

There are 36 competitors, including 10 Brazilians, including the current world champion, Adriano de Souza, Mineirinho. He is the sixth category against the Brazilian Caio Ibelli and a guest of the event, which is not yet set. 

Then Gabriel Medina, world champion in 2014, starts to fight for the championship aganist Michel Bourez of Tahiti, and Ryan Callinan, Australia.

They are in the 4 category. Before you will enter in the water is Filipe Toledo will get into the water on the 3 category against Hawaiian Keanu Asing and Australian Davey Cathels.
