Exciting times for the Brisbane Roar, Henrique silva a Brazilian stars at the Lion hearts

Brisbane Roar is the toast of the town heading into the A-League’s 10^th season, and the fortunes of the ‘Lionhearts’ will rely heavily on the nimble feet of Henrique Andrade Silva. The Roar are smack-bang in the middle of a golden age that has seen them win 3 of the last 4 A-League titles. Foreign superstars like Thomas Broich and Besart Berisha have excelled but Henrique has managed to carve out a large chunk of cult popularity with a reputation for the big occasion such as scoring the winning goals in the 2011 and 2014 grand finals.

This season Henrique starts as the Roar’s premier striker with the departure of Berisha to title-rivals, Melbourne Victory. So there will be added pressure for the diminutive player to find the back of the net but he has plenty of experience and natural talent to justify his billing as one of the best soccer players in Australia. The Roar are, once again, favourites to extend their record as the country’s most successful and eye-catching football team.

 Henrique has been playing for the Roar since 2009 when he arrived as a replacement for the then marquee signing and fellow countryman, Reinaldo. He has come on in leaps and bounds since then, and, with his loyalty to the orange shirt, it is safe to say that he is now a piece of the furniture here in the River City and he will no doubt continue to bang in winning goals in the 2014-15 season and beyond.
