Brisbane doesn't only have beautiful and great beaches that attract surfers from everywhere, but the Association of Surfing Professionals is here too. To be more exact it is located in Coolangatta on the Gold Coast.

The association which was created in 1976 is not only responsible for evaluating the surfer’s performances, but it also decides who are on the World Championship Tour, World Qualifying Series, Pro Junior, Long Board and Masters champions.

The association has seven offices spread around the world – South America, North America, Europe, Australasia, Japan, Hawaii and Africa, which are responsible for the stages of WQS, Pro Junior and Long Board.

The South American office, located in Florianopolis - Santa Catarina - Brazil, has determinant role in the development of surfing in the region. Along with great supporters and sponsors, it has organized championships from which great talents are revealed. The list of the top G- 10 surfers, updated after the last ASP Prime in South Africa, reveals 3 Brazilians among the best top ten surfers in the world: -Dantas Wiggolly from Sao Paulo comes in third, Tomas Hermes from Santa Catarina in seventh and Jadson Andres from Rio Grande do Norte comes in the eighth.

The next G-10 ASP Qualifying series will be held in the USA from the 26th of July to 3rd August. Fingers crossed for the Latin Americans.
