Alison won all six 400-meter hurdles races he competed in on the circuit in 2026 – in addition to finishing the Diamond League in first place in Belgium, he also won in Stockholm, Sweden; Zurich, Switzerland; Xiamen, China; Oslo, Norway; and Silesia, Poland. The only stage the hurdler did not compete in was the London leg in July.

Piu already had two Diamond League titles, from 2022 and 2024.
