World Cup astronomic numbers

FIFA will pay to the third and fourth place US$48.9 million and US$44.4 million respectively.Initially the prize wouldn't end up into the players pocket; instead, the total amount would go to the Confederations' coffers; as the CBF president Jose Maria Marin had determined: “Prizes to the players would be negotiated only if they had won the world cup”. But the last news about the subject suggests that part of the prize will be distributed not only to the players but also to all technical members of each team. What isthe cause of this change in the decisions of the president since not only the Brazilian, but also the Dutch team had shown complete lack of motivation to face their last match of the championship? As for the Brazilians there is a very good explanation:

The demotivation comes not only from the worst result in a world cup, but for their market devaluation as well. According to studies realized by Pluri consultoria, the World Cup campaign was completely unfavorable for 22 Brazilian players, who had their market prices devalued in 20.4 million of Euros. Neymar was the only player to finish the championship in ascendance. His price market jumped from 68.1 to 70.1 million Euros. He is the third more expensive football player in the world, coming after Lionel Messi 137.2 million and Cristiano Ronaldo 95.6 million Euros.The Brazilian team had a total devaluation of 449.8 million Euros, 4.3% less than its value at the beggining of the championship.
