Every wondered why some women have beautiful long thick eyelashes? It is because most of the time they are wearing false lashes, it can be tricky to put them on and can take a long time to master the skill of applying them quickly and successfully and have them stay in place perfectly all night. Here are some tips to help all you women who love to wear lashes or want to try them for the first time!
- Purchase lashes that you feel comfortable with, not what other people have or what is more popular, ever eye is different some lashes look great on one person but may not suit another.
- Even though the lashes, usually come with glue this glue isn’t always the best, therefore purchase a glue separately – Revlon have a great eyelash glue
- Trim the lashes to fit your eyes, trim little parts at time and measure it against your eye to ensure it fits
- Take both edges of the lash and bend inwards creating a “c” shape, it will help hold it in place when putting it on the eye.
- Apply the glue, don’t apply too much, if it’s good quality glue you shouldn’t need much at all, but be mindful that the ends of the lash may need more glue. Let the glue sit for approximately 10 seconds so it gets a little tacky.
- Apply to eye, aiming for the base of your natural eyelash line, right on top of your real eyelashes; make sure its not touching your eyelid. The glue will dry clear so don’t worry if it gets over the eyelid etc.
- Use tweezers to hold he lash and your real lashes in place together and to correct it if need be.
- Once it has dried, apply mascara lightly for your real lashes to blend in with the flash ones.
- Then apply the rest of your eye make up; this will help the lashes look more natural. And then you are done!
- Remember when taking off the lashes, try softening the glue with an eye make up remover and a cotton bud before pulling them off, pull them lightly as well and they should come off without pulling out any of your real lashes. You can also reuse lashes if they still look great.
