The Bookfest brings over 10,000 books in more than 25 different genres

The Event happens in Gold Coast and Brisbane between 24^th June and 3d July

June is the start of winter; a perfect time read a good book. and what great timing with Lifeline Bookfest. The event will happen be in Gold Coast and Brisbane this weekend and will have over 10,000 books in more than 25 different genres priced from as low as 50 cents.

The Gold Coast Bookfest will be held at Gold Coast. Convention and Exhibition Centre between 24th and 26th June 8am – 5pm daily. This June Lifeline Gold Coast Bookfest is offering its customers a vast selection of health conscious, children’s, cooking, fiction, limited edition books and magazines that suit many different tastes and ages.

The public will get chances to win loads of gift vouchers, and who enters the Gold Coast Bookfest online competition can also win a $50 Bookfest gift voucher (10 gift vouchers to giveaway) before the event and will get a second chance to win 10 $50 Lifeline Shop gift vouchers during the three-day event.

The Lifeline Bookfest Brisbane is the largest second hand book sale in Queensland.  This year it will be held at at Halls 3 & 4 of Brisbane Convention and Exhibition centre. At the event you will find 4km of tables with millions of books, magazines,  records, puzzles, DVDs, CDs, vinyl, board games and much more for prices as low as a dollar.

The books are divided into categories for ease of browsing. The categories include: Children's; Australiana; History; Reference; Humour and Oddities; Biography; Literature and Classics; Textbooks; Travel; Health; Science Fiction; Hardback Fiction; Art and Music; Paperback Fiction; Cooking; Computers; Religion; Foreign Language; Vehicles and War Craft; Hobbies; Sport; Gardening; Animals; Penguins and Pelicans; Economics; Sociology; Philosophy; and Science.

In Brisbane, the event will work between 8:30am and 7 pm on weekend and between 9am -5:30pm on weekdays.

All funds raised at the Bookfest support Lifeline and UnitingCare Community programs for individuals, families and children. In Queensland, UnitingCare Community runs Lifeline services such as the 13 11 14 crisis line and post-disaster Community Recovery Program as well as Lifeline shops and events in Queensland.

You can donate new, used or unwanted books to Lifeline Shops or Lifeline bins. You can bulk book donations, for collection please ring 07 3632 1010.  Crates will be available at the Bookfest event (next the entrance) for customers to donate their books. The admission is free.
