If you are looking for a place to relax and admire this weekend, Sunshine Coast is the right place! Different of Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast is not only a city. It is a special and amazing area of five cities, with 60 km of coastline, located at 100 km from the north of Brisbane. The region is famous for its natural landscapes, quiet beaches, pleasant temperature and friendly atmosphere.

The first place to visit is Caloundra, with beaches sheltered from waves, perfect to water sports. In the other hand, the city has several options with great waves for surfing too. On this way, it pleasures all standards. When you are there, don`t miss Gold Beach, the more famous of Caloundra.

Other interesting city to visit is Mooloolaba, where you must go to the marina and the aquarium, and have different experiences with animals of sea life. Mooloolaba is very near from Maroochydore, and together they responds for the biggest part of Sunshine Coast population.

Coolum is the forth city, very famous because of the variety of hotels and resorts. Very near from Noosa - the fiftieth and more famous city of Sunshine Coast -, it used to be a cheaper and comfortable option to stay during the weekend for example. All cities also have a lot of options of holsters and backpackers hotels.

But if you really want to know some sophisticated restaurants, cafes, hotels, boutiques, perfect beaches and maybe, find some famous artist, you should visit Noosa. There is placed the more elegant street of Australia - the Haastings Street.

This is the place of a several events during all the year. On this weekend for example, will be happening the Noosa Long Weekend Festival with 10 days and nights of arts, literature, forums, food and fun in intimate venues around.

There are a lot of activities free and payed (see more details in the website http://www.visitnoosa.com.au/events/noosa-long-weekend-festival).

The Brazilian nutritionist Lucilia Carvalho, who lives in Brisbane, had visited Noosa last April, with all family including her little daughter Olivia and have a nice experience.

"We went by car and it was fast and easy. We stayed all day long at Noosa Head beach and walked a little at Hassting Street. The restaurants are nice and there is amazing people there. The beach is quiet and perfect to go with kids. We loved it and want to come back as soon as possible", told her.
