In a matter of hours President of the United States, Barack Obama, will address the nation in regards to immigration issues.

As most know, the border between America and Mexico is often crossed illegally, but usually not without good reason. Immigrants crossing over into America are expecting to find a place where they can support their families with higher wages (although America’s average yearly income is less than $41,000) and be safer from higher rates of crime that is present in South America.

Obama will be addressing the nation to speak about tackling the broken immigration system. Obama’s announcement will be in regards to what he can do while he still has authority as President in the areas of immigration where Congress has refused to take any action.

The announcement will address illegal immigrants from South America living in America that want to be there legally but feel that the system makes them out to be criminals and if they step forward to begin to process to live there legally, they will be immediately deported. Such an issue has detrimental affects on the economy and society of America.

All in all, Obama’s address affects Latino’s living in America currently as well as Latino’s wishing to immigrate.
