O Rappa's Debut Performance in Australia

After two trips to Europe during 2014 and 2015,  the band O Rappa is back on the road and ready to embark on the third tour of their career.

For the first time the band will perform in Australia and New Zealand, hashtagged on social media as #ORappaWorldTour.

This hashtag is popular around the world, as far as Miami, New York and Boston, USA.O Rappa is a Brazilian band that was formed in 1993 in Rio de Janeiro.

The group is renowned for their socially strong lyrics, worked into a mix of rock, reggae, rap and MPB.

O Rappa was left reeling in 2001, when they lost their drummer and main lyricist, Marcelo Yuka, in an armed robbery that left him paralysed after being shot.

With the lead taken up by keyboardist Marcelo Lobato and the lyrics penned by Hawk, O Rappa remained together, launching the album O Silêncio Q Precede O Esporro in 2003. And, they remain one of the most critically acclaimed bands of Brazilian rock. O Rappa has sold over 5 million albums worldwide.

Next May the 22nd, the group will perform in Brisbane in Australia.
