LatinBeat: the contemporary scene of Panamerican cinema in the heart of NY

The cinema industry has been benefited by the technological novelties. The inexpensive filmmaking equipment makes possible to conceive and produce great movies without spending a huge sum of money; what is really indispensable is: the creativity; a good script, directors, actors and the perfect location; these requirements are essential to realize a good film and when things reach this terrain Latin American filmmakers rise from the anonymity.

This is how the LatinBeat Movie Festival organizers see the contemporary scene of the Pan American cinema. The festival, happens at Lincoln Center Film Society and it is the premiere showcase of movies from Argentine, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Portugal, Spain and, Uruguay.

Films are in Spanish or Portuguese with subtitles in English. The festival goes until 20 of July at Film Society of Lincoln Center – 144 West 65th Street, NY.
