All newcomer, tourists or students can use the public transport service in Australia. In all the state of Queensland, the company responsible for public transport is the Translink.
Here in Brisbane the options for public transport are train, bus and ferry, and the company offers a system to make easier the locomotion in the city.
However, what is the best option and how to know which transport use? Translink has two options to facilitate the day by day, we can use the website or app for mobile.
On the website, you have some additional information, such as current news of the city, bus, ferry and train status as well as registration of the GoCard (http://www.gringomedia.com.au/news/go-card-has-new-rules-for-student-concession).
However, the app is a practical way to use as we are always walking around with a mobile and everything gets simpler.
In the app you have a full-service to not get in lost in the city. You just need an internet connection.
In the Journey Planner, the app show you how to reach the desired destination. In the "start" just put the address of your starting point in the field and the final destination in the "end" and press "find journey."
The app will give you information such as bus number or name of the train or ferry that you need to take and what the nearest starting point. In addition, it will show the fare, with or without GoCard.
Within this same field, you can view the transport options for a specific day or time, to program for some appointment, for example. In Timetables, you can check the timetable of transport available at all stops through which it passes, if you already know which one you can use.
You can find more extra information on the website www.translink.com.au.
MyTransLink is available free from the apple store and Google Play.
Do you use the app? Let your opinion about it here!
