Great celebration for the 20 anniversary of the famous film “The Lion King” in Morningside

“Hakuna Matata” were the words that made us changed our ideas and believes a few years ago, and from that moment forever. Now, almost seems it was yesterday, the movie “The Lion King” is ready to celebrate 20 years old and here’s how you can celebrate.

Can you believe it has been 20 years since we bopped along to “I just can’t wait to be king”, “Can you feel the love tonight” and were left damaged and traumatised after witnessing Mufasa’s death?.

So now, the nice people at Southside Tea Room haven’t forgotten this momentous milestone and they want everybody all to celebrate the anniversary. For that reason The Morningside venue is hosting The Lion King 20^th Anniversary Celebration and you, who were really moved by the Disney's movie, are also invited.

The event will take place on Friday 1^st of August and there will be a range of activities in store for even the most die hard of Disney fans. Also, at 5PM, The Lion King will be screened followed by Lion King Trivia kicking off at 7PM.

From 9PM the entire movie soundtrack will be played in full by some of Brisbane’s best and brightest indie stars who have joined together to bring us the Hakuna Matata live tribute band. The band itself features the who’s who of the Brisbane music industry and includes musicians from Violent Soho, The Grates, The Creases, Little Scout, Jeremy Neale, Major Leagues, Rolls Bayce and Ed G & The Love Signs.
