Celebrate the Indian Day Fair in Brisbane In Roma Street Parklands

Brisbane will hold next Sunday 10^th of August the India Day Fair event as part of the agenda for the 67^th anniversary of the Indian Independence Day celebrations. The date is in Roma Street Parklands where the Indian festival will take place all day long. All the acts and ceremonies are free and open to the public, for every one interested in the Indian culture and those who want to be a step closer to India and its exotic flavour.

Throughout the day there will be different events as parades, various forms of Indian music and dance, clothing shows and stalls offering cultural souvenirs and traditional native cuisine. Also the famous art of tattooing with Henna (Indian hand painting) will be showcased on the day as well.

All these exciting and attractive cultural experiences will conclude with a fireworks show at night, with the famous and recognised colourful style typical from India.

The Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin will be holding the fourth annual India Day Fair at Roma Street Parkland amphitheatre main stage. The free whole-day event to celebrate Indian Independence Day starts at 10:30AM and ends at night at dinner time.

The fair offers nine hours of non-stop entertainment and more than 32 stalls selling Indian culinary delicacies, services and clothing. Last year's Indian Independence Day festival hosted more than 10 thousand people.

This year, Indian musicians from all over Queensland will be performing at the annual event and performances will include Bollywood, Banghra and Indian Folk.
