Who thought that we wouldn't have a Carnaval party in Brisbane ?

GPO surprised everybody with a celebration last Friday.

GPO is one of the most famous clubs in Brisbane and they organised a typical latin night on 6th of February.

Brazilians and Colombians enjoyed the night with tracks from their country and a performance from a samba group. It showed the gringos what a real Carnaval party is like in south america.

There was two atmospheres: downstairs was a Colombian party with mucho Reggaeton, merengue and salsa . Upstairs we had a Brazilian party with a broad selection of different music.

Gringo Entertainment was there covering the whole event.

And for who does not know about Carnaval.

Carnaval is a festive season which occurs immediately before Lent. The main events are usually during February. Carnival typically involves a public celebration.

Carnival is traditionally held in areas with a large Catholic or, to a lesser extent, Eastern Orthodox makeup.

Rio de Janeiro's carnival, Brazil, is considered the biggest carnival in the world with approximately two million people each day. In 2004, the carnival attracted a record 400,000 foreign visitors.
