Brisbane teenage party go wild with an officer injured and disturbances

Out of control party over the weekend in Brisbane’s north suburb, to an address at the intersection of Caselgrove and Roghan Road

A rowdy party with hundreds of teenagers going out of control at Fitzgibbon, north of Brisbane became in serious disturbs with a police officer injured and a police vehicle damaged when following it last Saturday. The party ended after a police officer copped a punch to the head when he tried to put the situation in order, in addition to a police car damaged and a slew of charges against male and female teenagers.

Officers were called around 11:15PM to the property in Brisbane’s north suburb, to an address at the intersection of Caselgrove and Roghan Road, after receiving a number of complaints of the neighbours saying the party of about 140 teenagers was out of control. A small number of fights had started after hoards of teens had spilled onto the street and when police began to shut down the party a 16 years old Bracken Ridge boy allegedly punched an officer in the back of the head, resulting injured, fortunately with no serious wounds.

In addition, an unknown person also threw an object at the police car, smashing the front windscreen of the patrol. The 16 years old boy has been charged with two counts of assault or obstruct police and will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.

Police dealt with a number of people at the scene and at least another five teenagers, both male and female and between 16 and 20 years old were charged with resist arrest and public nuisance.

The male officer sustained minor injuries but did not require medical treatment.
